Arthur Blick wins Fort Portal rally

To achieve the Sunday victory Blick navigated by George Ssemakula in a Mitsubishi Evo10, posted a total time loss of an hour, 12.53 minutes, 31 seconds.

Arthur Blick Jr beat stiff competition from Yasin Nasser, Ronald Ssebuguzi, Omar Mayanja, Abdul Kateete, and Hassan Alwi to win the Fort Portal Rally on Sunday for the second time.
 
In 2015, the Shell Helix fueled driver navigated by Unisan Bakunda in a Subaru Impreza N10, won the event that was previously known as the Mountains of the Moon Rally.
 
To achieve the Sunday victory in the fifth round of the National Rally Championship (NRC), Blick navigated by George Ssemakula in a Mitsubishi Evo10, posted a total time loss of an hour, 12.53 minutes, 31 seconds ahead of Hassan Alwi (1.13.24) in a Subaru N15 who finished second.

Yasin Nasser navigated by city advocate Ali Katumba, posted a total time of an hour 13.47 to finish third, while the Shell V-Power team of Ronald Ssebuguzi and Omar Mayanja in Mitsubishi Evo 10 finished fourth and fifth respectively.
 
"It has been four years since we won a rally and I'm very, very excited about this win," Blick said after Harugongo section which was the last stage of the rally.
 
"I have been hungry for this win and this victory belongs to my good Lord Jesus Christ." 
 
Blick took an early lead on day one winning both the Harugongo and Super Special stage.
 
27 crews out of the 39 completed the two-day rally that was incident-free.
 
Focus turns to the UMOSPOC Kabalega Rally which is due on October 18 to 20 in Hoima and the MOSAC rally in November.
