Namirembe Hillside re-opens

The school was closed, and students were ordered to go back home, now the Ministry of Education have allowed the school to re-open.

On July 25, 2019, Students of Namirembe Hillside High School in Kitetika, Gayaza, were left in tears after a fire burnt a senior two boys' dormitory, destroying property worth millions of shillings.

The school was closed, and students were ordered to go back home, now the Ministry of Education has allowed the school to re-open.

"We would like to inform all our parents and the general public that the school is now open, all our candidate students can report back to school on Monday. Other classes should report September 9," said Dr. Hilary Kiiza, the director of the school.

According to the school, most of the students have been counselled.
