The Uganda Premier League (UPL) has released fixtures for the 2019/20 season.
The opening match will be played on August, 29 at Mandela National Stadium Namboole. Newcomers Kyetume FC will take on SC. Villa at Namboole at 8:00 pm.
UPL CEO Bernard Bainaman said the first round of the league will end on November 17.
"We want a scandal-free league in terms of players riots, clubs aborting matches, match-fixing and many more. We also promise fairness and equity," Bainaman said.
League manager Paul Bakaikaramu defended midweek games saying the aim is to have the fixture completed in time.
There are 16 teams in the UPL. At least 40 matches of the first round shall be broadcast on Sanyuka TV.
