He is confident in his team ahead of the Elgon Cup and he believes it will not be a walkover for the Kenyans

In the absence of the Gold Cup, a lot hinges on the Elgon Cup between Uganda and Kenya this year as both teams will be actively seeking to win the double header.

To achieve that, the national team coach Robert Sseguya has gone a step further and is using the friendly between the Presidents Select side (Uganda) and USIU, a university side from Kenya to make additions to his bench.

"Actually for me, this game was just a selection of the bench; of the senior team, none has played because they have watched their young brothers do their thing," he confirmed.

The likes of Philip Wokorach and Charles Uhuru among others were all in attendance as spectators to see the Presidents Select side narrowly emerge 14-3 winners on Saturday.

He also pointed out that there were a few things he picked up about the team that needs to be worked on going forward.

The senior team will have a test game with the junior team and they believe they make it hard for the senior team this weekend

He is confident in his team ahead of the Elgon Cup and he believes it will not be a walkover for the Kenyans and it will not be easy for Uganda either.
