Jovial mood ahead of Uganda Martyrs' day celebration

There’s excitement at Namugongo Uganda Martyrs shines and its environs as pilgrims from various parts of the world continue to flock in ahead of the Uganda Martyrs Day celebration on June 03. Christians gather at Namugongo in Wakiso district every year on June 3 to remember the 23 Anglican and 22 Catholic Christian martyrs, who were executed between November 1885 and January 1887 on orders of Kabaka Mwanga II.
