Man receives canes for dangling manhood in public

Christopher Etyang was accused of dangling his manhood before his children and clan members, allegedly cursing children of his brothers and the clan, indecent assault, abuse of office, threatening to commit suicide and exhibiting uncouth behaviors.

TORORO - A 65 year old man in Tororo district received 12 strokes of the cane on Thursday and was fined sh200,000, a ram, cock and apology letter for dangling his manhood in public.


Appearing before the Ikatekok luka Achuna clan court held in Kagoya Village Mukuju Sub-County, Christopher Etyang nicknamed Obama was subjected to the disciplinary action to serve as a deterrent measure to other clan members for his abominable behavior and allegedly bringing curse to his family and clan in general.

The court that was presided over by Yokana Ogulut Ochopa reduced the earlier sentence of 27 strokes of the cane after the convict pleaded guilty to all the charges read before him, thus saving court's time and also poor health due to advanced age.

He was given up to 30th March to clear the fine.

The fully parked court attended by clan spokesperson who is also
acting chairperson Pastor Francis Obwin, clan councilor representing Mudodo Obbo Katek, sub-county leader Semu Opolot, the police officer in charge of Ojolo Wendo police post John Ojiambo and Mukuju sub-county district councilor Peter Okolong Langalanga condemned the action.

Court heard that on December 26, 2018, Obama, during a Christmas party at the home of Omella Boniface embarrassed the clan members and visitors when he undressed his trouser and swung his manhood in public, allegedly cursed the clan members, threatened to commit suicide at the home of his brother, rolled on the ground like a baby and had threatened to kill some of his elder brothers' children specifically Samuel Ekirapa over land.


Court further heard that, all the utterances accrued following a
police summon extended to him out of the case that Ekirapa had lodged in Tororo central police station due to continuous death threats he was receiving from Obama after he bought land that he
[Obama] equally had interest in.


Testifying before the court, Obwin who was guest of honor on the
fateful day narrated the embarrassing action by Obama which he said was a total abomination and serious curse to clan and the coming generation.
