Darts' action starts January 19

The New Year's Open tournament on January 19 will open the 2019 darts calender at Mamerito Hotel Bweyogerere.

Darters will be polishing up their targets after a festive season in which they have been inactive.

"We want to have a vibrant year and we are starting early so that we give players enough time to prepare themselves for  the national league and international events," Tabaro said.

He also urged teams to conduct the transfer of players in time to avoid inconveniences when the competitions start.

He, however, added that the season will officially be launched on Febuary 23 with the fundraising tournament for the northern Zone.

Players such as Jennifer Kageye of Police, Andrew Emomeri of Prisons, Sarah Makanga of  Bank of Uganda and Eddy Baguma of Uganda Wildlife Authority are eyeing individual trophies in the season.
