The incident forced the congregation to flee for their dear lives. Hakiza told New Vision that the deceased was also a bursar at St. Jerome Academy Kihangi.

Hakiza said another woman whom police could not readily identify got injured and was rushed to Hoima regional referral hospital for treatment.

He said a case CRB 195/2018 of sudden death had been reported to police by Reverend Father Kyaligonza Mathias, a catholic priest attached to Munteme catholic parish, who was at the time presiding over the mass.
