Uganda Prisons Darts Club has vowed to avenge their defeat to Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) in the league when they meet in the Conservation Cup later this month.

On Sunday, Prisons put up a spirited fight to beat defending champions Prisons 7-3 in the National Darts League Play-offs final on Sunday at Iwanza Complex in Kamwokya.

Andrew Emomeri, the Prisons team captain told New vision in an interview that they have gone back to the drawing board to rectify their mistakes.

"We have lost to them thrice, but this time our bosses motivated us by giving us enough time for training which helped us and here we are champions,"UWA team captain Augustus Ndigendawa said.

"This marks the end of their (Police) dominance because we are not going to rest."

In the semifinal, UWA beat Leisuretec 7-3, while Prisons saw off archrivals Police in the tie breaker after the two went 6-6 in mouth-watering semi-final.

Police took a 6-3 lead, but Prisons fought back to level 6-6 before going for a tie breaker that saw Prisons team captain Andrew Emomeri overcome Police's Emanuel Bitwire.

Uganda Darts Association president Fearless Obwoya in his closing remarks cautioned clubs and players against indiscipline.
