Student arrested in connection with Rakai school fire

A former student of St. Bernard's -Manya SS in Kifamba sub-county, Rakai district has been arrested in connection with a school fire on Monday morning that left many students dead.

The student of Senior Four, was among the 10 Senior Four students who were suspended form the school over indiscipline.

The Police says investigations are still going on.

Meanwhile, education minister Janet Museveni is among senior government officials who have rushed to the school after news came in the morning about the fire.

Others included security minister Gen. Elly Tumwine and ISO boss Col. Kaka Bagyenda.
