St Lawrence host Kampala University today in UFL semis

In only their second appearance in the competition, St. Lawrence are still unbeaten and hold the advantage after a 2-1 away win in the first leg.

St. Lawrence University will today host two-time champions Kampala University for the second leg of their Pepsi University Football League semi-final as they look forward to wrapping up a berth in the finals.
 
In only their second appearance in the competition, St. Lawrence are still unbeaten and hold the advantage after a 2-1 away win in the first leg. 
 
Despite their comfortable away advantage, St. Lawrence coach Nnono Ssozi urged his boys to remain calm and focused.
 
"This is our last game to the finals and of course everyone is excited, the administration, the fans and even the players are excited but it's not over yet and we need to remain calm and play the game like its any other," he said.
 
Kampala University are the only team remaining in the competition who have won the trophy before and coach Tumusiime Vincent believes that his side will show their pedigree when they meet St. Lawrence today.
 
"We are definitely capable of coming back. Being 2-1 down is a disadvantage but we are very capable of overcoming it," he said.
 
Meanwhile, Sekidde Robert scored the only goal of the game on Wednesday afternoon as Kyambogo University booked their place in the finals of the competition following a 1-0 away win against Bugema to win the tie 3-0 on aggregate.
 
Kyambogo will now the face winner between St. Lawrence and Kampala University in the final to be played on November 10th at Namboole stadium.
