Pool: Nsubuga through to regionals

Last year, as a seeded player, Nsubuga could only make it to the round of sixteen
In just a week, the regional round of the Nile Special National Open will cue off with the last men standing automatically qualifying for the Grand finale set for October 27.
On Saturday night, the open was in full force and Rock Catalina Ntinda was one of the biggest playing centres on show.
Many notable players went to the venue, but only eight survived to make it to the regional round. One of the those outstanding players was local boy Humphrey Nsubuga of Hot Pool who has designs on winning the national open as long as he can change his luck.
Definitely, I am aiming to win the national open, but I have just not been lucky. Whenever I get to the semi-final, I tend to take the competition for granted and I have ended up losing.
Last year, as a seeded player, Nsubuga could only make it to the round of sixteen, but as things stand, he hopes to put up improved performances in the championships.
Although there is still one round of mini qualifiers to go, the regional round will officially start on September 28 and end by October 12. The draws will take place on October 23 ahead of the grand finale on the 27.
