The She Cranes have put up a good show at the start of the Africa Netball Championship with a 72 - 47 win against Namibia in Lusaka, Zambia on Tuesday.
Uganda's only professional player and skipper, Peace Proscovia scored 40 goals as Racheal Nanyonga added 10, Stella Oyella, 15 and Mary Nuba had seven.
Proscovia and Nanyonga gave the She Cranes a 23-12 lead in the first quarter and 40-24 at half time.
But in the third quarter, Nanyonga was substituted with Stella Oyella as Uganda stretched their lead to 56-37.
"I am impressed with the way the girls played today and I just hope they keep their spirit burning throughout the remaining games," said coach, Vincent Kiwanuka.
Uganda is scheduled to face Malawi in the game that is equivalent to a title decider.
The two sides are the tournament favourites and both kicked off the games with victories hence making their next meet a must watch.
The two totally have different intentions of participation in the championship making their meet even more interesting.
Unlike Uganda that is looking at retaining the continental title in a bid to book a slot in the 2019 Netball World Cup.
Malawi are in the same tournament to avenge their two defeats against the She Cranes and also reclaim the title they lost in 2016 to Zambia.
