The 2015 national rally champion Arthur Blick Jr is eyeing his first rally win since 2015 in the UMOSPOC rally in Hoima on September, 7 to 9.

Blick navigated by Noela Blick won the second Federation of Motorsport Clubs of Uganda (FMU) sprint held at Festino Cite in Mukono on Sunday.

"This is our first win as a team, but also Noella writing history as the first female navigator to win the national sprint which gives our family reason to celebrate," the 2015 Nile Special-USPA rally driver of the year said.

"We are now looking at the Kabalega rally and we preparing for it."

Six injured

Meanwhile, six fans were injured after Edwin Kalule's Toyota Celica car lost control and rammed into the fans on Sunday in Mukono.

"Yes, there was an accident, but we are lucky no one died. Only two got serious injuries fracturing their legs, but the rest got minor injuries," Clerk of the Course Charles Ssemengo said.

The event was co-sponsored by Grand Praclos Garden Mukono, Coca-cola, Lato Milk, Fire and Safety Appliance.
