Isingiro - Forum for the Democratic Party (FDC) candidate, Aaron Turahi won the Endinzi town council mayor elections in Insingiro on Tuesday.

According to results, Aaron got 1497 making it 60.3% more than his contender and NRM's Elson Musiime who polled 986 votes.

Aaron was an NRM chairperson of Endinzi Sub County before he crossed to FDC on June 3, 2018 that the times he has contested on the NRM ticket, his votes have been rigged.

In 2016 he contested as a councilor to represent the then Endizi Sub-county at the district council but he was defeated accusing his political tormentor Kankwagye for having an upper hand in his loss.

That, and many more are some of the losses Turahi recounts while on the NRM ticket.

"This is one of the hardest town councils to contest as an opposition candidate and you win because of the forces in here, if I had not crossed to FDC I was not going to go through, I thank my party FDC for the support," he said.
