The venoms who won 1-0 on aggregate after settling to a goalless in the first leg will meet KCCA FC in the final on Saturday.

The Lugogo side defeated regional side Synergy 10-0 on aggregate to qualify for their second consecutive final.

The tense  game that was boycotted by the majority of the Villa fans after Vipers banned over 12 of their fans from accessing St Mary's stadium saw centre referee Emma Kiweewa put up poor display with no fans to give him moral support.

Meanwhile, the battle for silverware in this year's Uganda Cup was heightened  following  Stanbic Bank‘s sh300m sponsorship.

The prize money for the competition was raised to sh90m. The winner will walk away with sh30m, runners up sh20m, semifinalists sh10m each while the quarterfinalists will each receive sh5m.

This year's final will be hosted at Emokori ground, Bukedea district this Saturday.
