Ruthless Weatherhead make light work of hapless Historicals

Dubbed the Weatherhead derby, it was the good old days versus the new age. Seasoned players against emerging stars and in the end, the fixture presented a stack difference between Weatherhead and the historicals on the scoresheet as the former won 9-1 Sunday at Lugogo.

Historicals, a veteran- filled side who are former wetherhead players was formed earlier this season.

They had a good start to business winning two games with a strong sense of old is gold looming around, a signal that the youthful sides should not take them lightly.

Conversely, the Weatherhead "boys" made light work of the veterans and consequently subjecting them to their first defeat. Moses Tushabe was the main aggressor scoring a hattrick in the one sided affair. Peter Elolu weighed in with two goals as well.

Vincent Kasasa broke the deadlock in the 23 minute before goals started peppering in with the veterans' bodies giving way to the more youthful Weatherhead side. Ahamed Kateregga, Timothy Ntumba, Alfred Agaba and Christopher Kyamanya got themselves on the mark. Arafat Kirabira scored the consolation for the Historicals.

Kampala were awarded a walk over against Simba. They are currently second on 6 points behind leaders Weatherhead who also have the same points but a better goal difference. They have still played a game less than Kampala.
