KAMPALA - CKI Ladies fired on all cylinders after they humbled Capital Night 8-4 to go top and send a message to their competitors.

Led by Ritah Nimusiima, the girls were inspired and played like the side from yester year. Since their start to the season was not the ideal type, team captain Fauzah Namuganza was impressed with the bonus points win.

"We needed to  score more goals but we got four points and was not so bad.

"We saw the advantage of the extra bonus point when we played team Klein because that one point is the reason we are on top of the table today," she said.

After this win, CKI will now concentrate on improving their games, seeing as their competitors will play again on the weekend.

The men's team dispatched the stubborn Capital Night led by Ibra Ssejemba, Rashid Wagaba and the courtesy all goes to Azali ‘Hazard' Lukomwa.

Those that have watched the swashbuckling young star know that he is no saint.

He has had a few disciplinary issues here and there and has also been known to lose his head when pushed. That, although, cannot match up to his prowess on the table when he is in good form.

On Wednesday night, he was a shining light for his side as they chalked up their second win in just a matter of a day after they took their first win in five matches over the weekend during the Betway senior pool league.

"Right now my players are so confident ever since Musa Ssekiliba returned from suspension.

"Now they believe that they can win. The team gave the fans and the well-wishers what they expect from team CKI," team Captain Robert Lubega said.

'Hazard' won all his four games while Sula Matovu and Musa Ssekiliba won three out of four.

Mansoor Bwanika won two games while Joram Nabaasa struggled.
