Perhaps it is early to draw conclusions, but the boys have all the markings of champions in the schools’ annual meet.

Kakungulu Boys could simply be too good for the ongoing Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association Ball Games 1 (hockey) at Nyakasura School in Fort Portal.

Perhaps it is early to draw conclusions, but the boys have all the markings of champions in the schools' annual meet.

They are making a strong case as the games continue and certainly having come up big 5-0 against a strong SMACK side Tuesday evening was testament of their seemingly overwhelming abilities of winning the competition.

Conversely defending champions Ntare School remain their strongest opposition in the contest and it won't really be surprising if the eventual winner is either one of them. The two sides played out to a 0-0 stalemate earlier in the competition.

Meanwhile, Sir Samuel Baker made amends by defeating Mbarara High School 5-0. The former had a poor start losing 3-1 to SMACK.

In the girls category, defending champions Kakungulu made light work of a much improved Namagunga 4-0 to remain on course of defending the title in spite of Namagunga having shown intent on day one.
