Police recovers abducted children

The female twins aged five were recovered in Masindi district on Wednesday, after the Police tracked their captors by tracking his phone.

LUWERO - The Police in Luwero district have rescued a set of twins from a man who was demanding for a sh13m ransom after stealing them from their parents' home.

The female twins aged five were recovered in Masindi district on Wednesday, after the Police tracked their captors by tracking his phone.

The children had gone missing from their home in Mabaale zone Luwero town council on Tuesday. The kidnapper later called the parents, demanding a 13m ransom in order to release them.

The savannah regional Police spokesman, Paul Kangave, said after receiving a complaint from the parents, the Police tracked the abductor's mobile phone, zeroing on him in Masindi where he was keeping the children in a hotel.
The children were later re-united with the parents.

Kangave  said the Police had arrested  the kidnapper and he would soon be charged in court
