Nemostars are ready to fire on all cylinders when they travel to represent Uganda at the African Club Volleyball Championships in Cairo Egypt next month.

They qualified for the competition after they won the league, while KAVC men won the National Championships to take the other slot.

This will be the fifth time the team will be featuring at the championships and they hope they can do one better and make it to the quarter finals this time round.

But like all four teams traveling, they need to raise $29,000 (about sh100m) in the upcoming weeks in order to secure air tickets, accommodation costs and player allowances for the team of 12 players and six officials.

The team has implored well-wishers, lovers of the game, Government and corporates to come out and help them as they seek to claim honours
on the continent.

"After we won the league on December 2 it dawned on us that a bigger task had come our way. It's a bigger challenge to take our players outside there because our colleagues have the best of the best," Nemostars coach Andrew Okapis said.

He believes that the team needs all the support they can get to help take a load off them as they prepare to face off against some of the continent's best club sides.

These sides have access to the best equipment and play in the best indoor facilities.

Nemostars also unveiled their new signings including Benedicto Omalinga, Nespal Angiro, John Opolot, Ezra Luswata and Asaf Nasasira for
the men's team.
