Ugandan to work with Beyoncé

Uganda has so many things to be proud of and one of them is acting. Over the years we have had very good actors and actresses on international stage with the likes of Ntare Mwine and Madina Nalwanga shining. 

We also have Florence Kasumba but not talked about much though equally strong or even better considering the gigs she has had.

USA- based Ugandan actress, Florence Kasumba, will be playing alongside Beyonce Knowles in an upcoming Disney movie.

 She will be playing the character of antagonist Shenzi, who is a leader of the hyena pack as Disney remakes their animated classic film, "The Lion King".

Kasumba who has previously featured in other blockbusters like "Captain America: Civil War" and 2017 big hit "Wonder Woman" joins a very popular cast of RnB singer Beyonce as Nala, Donald Glover as Simba and James Earl Jones as Mufasa.

Others stars in the cast include Chiwetel Ejiofor, John Oliver, Seth Rogen and Alfre Woodard. You can tell this one is going to be huge at the box office so we expect Florence to cash in big.

The release date for this movie is July 19, 2019.

So, a year and a half away. We are proud!
