The Bulenga based unveiled eight new players

Ajax Queens Women's Football Club is targeting a playoff slot in the 2017/18 season of the FUFA Women Elite League.

With few days left to the start of the new season, Ajax Queens have underlined their intent by unveiling a strong squad.

"We have assembled a strong squad that I believe will yield results and challenge for trophies in the coming season," stated club CEO, Charles Lwanga Kayemba.

The Bulenga based unveiled eight new players including Gloria Ayikol, Gertrude Likicho and Margaret Nalubega all from Mukono High School to strengthen their side.

Ayikol and Likicho featured for Isra Women's Football Club last season in the Kampala Regional League and helped them to gain promotion to the league, Phiona Nabumba (from Rinnes FC), Moureen Nangozi, Pamela Nakayondo (returns from Uganda Martyrs High School Mukono) and the Kenyan duo of Terry Engesha and Elizabeth Wambui from Mathare United and Thika Queens respectively.

The club also appointed Michael Natima as the head coach and he will be assisted by John Ssemuli.
