Christians were urged to respect the parish priest

The Bishop of Lugazi Diocese, Christopher Kakooza has launched St. Augustine Parish Seeta in Mukono Municipality.

This is the 23rd parish in Mukono and will be led by Rev. Fr. Charles Lwanga Ssuuna who is to be deputised by Rev. Fr. Martin Oyo.

Kakooza first declared Ssuuna the parish priest of the new parish and he handed to him the instruments of power.

He said that Ssuuna is the overall head of the parish saying that in the Catholic Church there is no above as it is always said these days.

Kakooza urged Christians to respect the parish priest saying by doing that, he will be able to lead them into heaven.

The function has also been attended by the vicar general of Lugazi Diocese, Msgr. Richard Kayondo, Bishop Emeritus Matthias Ssekamanya, Mukono Municipality Member of Parliament, Betty Nambooze Bakireke and Mukono RDC Maj. David Matovu among other dignitaries.
