Uganda Cranes opponents Egypt are expected to arrive today evening for the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier on Thursday.

 
Cranes host Egypt in the first leg at Mandela National stadium, Namboole before traveling for the return leg on September,5, at Arab El Borg stadium in Alexanderia City.

The two sides last met in the 2017 AFCON group stages in Gabon and Egypt  won 1-0 .

The national side intensified its preparations for the game with a 4-1 victory over local side KCCA at Mandela National Stadium yesterday.

Farouk Miya, Emmanuel Okwi and the KCCA duo of Derrick Nsibambi and Muzamiru Mutyaba each had a goal for the Cranes while Abubakar Saddiq Tijjani scored the consolation for  KCCA.

Uganda is placed in Group E with Egypt, Ghana and Congo Brazzaville. Egypt top the group with six points, followed by Uganda, Ghana and Congo with four,one and zero points respectively.
