Azam to face top league sides in preseason friendlies

Top Ugandan sides are preparing for the upcoming league season with a series of frendlies against Azam Football Club.

The Tanzania club arrived in the country with a 35-man contingent ready for the ten day training camp.

They will face KCCA FC, URA FC, SC Villa and West Nile based Onduparaka while on tour. They start off against KCCA on Thursday at Lugogo.

Azam finished fourth in the Tanzania Premier League last season where Young Africans FC (Yanga ) emerged as champions.

The Dar-es-Salaam based side is coached by Romanian Aristică Cioabă and conducted its first training session in Uganda on Monday.

Azam tour squad: Mwadini Ally, Razak Abalora, Benedict Haule, Aggrey Morris, David Mwantika, Yakubu Mohammed, Daniel Amoah, Abdallah Kheri, Swaleh Abdallah, Bruce Kangwa, Hamimu Abdul, Nahodha Himid Mao, Salum Abubakar, Frank Domayo, Stephan Kingue, Salmin Hoza, Bryson Raphael, Masoud Abdallah, Mawinga Joseph Mahundi, Enock Atta, Idd Kipagwile, Joseph Kimwaga, Yahaya Mohammed, Mbaraka Yusuph, Wazir Junior and Yahya Zayd.
