PRESS RELEASE ON RECOGNIZED OTHER STUDY FACILITIES OF HIGHER EDUCATION TRAINING INSTITUTIONS IN UGANDA
In accordance with Section 29(1) of the Universities and Other Tertiary Insti tutions Act 2001, as amended which requires that;
"The National Council may, aft er consultation with the relevant institution and with the approval of the University Council and the Senate of a Public University, by statutory order -
a) Establish any College or Institution as a Constituent College of that Public University.
b) Declare any College or Insti tuti on as a Consti tuent College of that Public University. And Secti on 111(1) of the Universiti es and Other Terti ary Insti tuti ons Act 2001, as amended requires that; "A Private University may, with the prior approval of the Nati onal Council -
c) Establish any College or Insti tuti on as a Consti tuent College of the University.
d) With the approval of the insti tuti on, declare a Private Terti ary Insti tuti on a Consti tuent College of the University.
e) Establish a Branch or Campus of the University in any part of Uganda".
Following the expiry of the time period (January 2017) within which, Higher Education Training Institutions running unaccredited study facilities were required to regularize the existence of such faciliti es with the Nati onal Council for Higher Education (NCHE), Public is informed of the following only recognized study faciliti es (Consti tuent College/ College/ Campus).
