Micho releases Uganda Cranes calendar

Nonresidential training will commence on May 20th

Uganda Cranes coach Milutin 'Micho' Sredejovic has drawn up a full programme ahead of the team's upcoming international matches in the 2019 AFCON qualifiers, 2018 championship of African Nations (CHAN) qualifiers and 2018 World Cup qualifiers.

While addressing the media at FUFA headquarters in Mengo, Micho said he would include players from the Azam Uganda Premier league and the FUFA Big League in his squad.

"We are happy about the competitiveness of the Uganda Premier League and the Big league and the best players from both leagues will be assessed for the 2018 CHAN qualifiers. We are looking are monitoring their present shape and have already dispatched their invitations," Micho said.

Nonresidential training will commence on May 20th to 26th 2017 before the final team is announced to feature in the Uganda Cranes regional tours in Fort Portal.

After that, the team will return to residential training on May 27 ahead of Uganda Cranes friendly matches against Ethiopia in Addis Ababa and Senegal in Dakar in early June.

May  28th - 31st - Residential Training
June  3rd - International friendly against Ethiopia (Addis Ababa)
June 6th  - International Friendly against Senegal (Dakar)
June  9th - 11th - AFCON 2019 Qualifier against Cape Verde
