The road was not worked on by the district

Residents of Asamuk Sub County in Amuria district have decried the state of the road connecting to Amuria town.

They say the road was tarmacked three years ago but has already developed potholes.

Godfrey Opire and Anyama Esipana all residents of Asamuk sub county say their businesses are now affected because of the pot holes that have spread all over the road.

Silver Omer who doubles as secretary of finance and planning in the district and councilor representing Asamuk in Amuria district, says he is going to be hard on contractors who do shoddy work.

He however says the road that the locals are talking about was not worked on by the district.

Meanwhile Robert Erisat Okitoi the Amuria LC5 chairperson says the road is a pilot project that was worked on by the central government.

He added that he doesn't support shoddy work and it's upon that background that he is warning contractors against execution of shoddy work.
