Senior One to start on February 13

A total of 445,546 students are expected to be admitted

The first term for students joining Senior One opens on February 13, the ministry of education and sports announced on Wednesday.

A total of 445,546 students are expected to be admitted for Senior One and Year One for students joining vocational and community polytechnics.

Of these, 256,036 students are expected to join 980 Universal Secondary Education (USE) schools while 157,860 will be admitted to 877 government-aided private secondary schools.

Another 3,240 students are scheduled to be admitted to 62 government BITVET (business, technical and vocational institutions) while another 28,440 students will join 112 private BITVET institutions.
