Uganda Cycling Association chief sacked

Ex-general secretary Fred Maiso is appointed as interim committee chairman.

Uganda Cycling Association (UCA) delegates has dissolved the association executive and appointed an interim committee.

The Extra-ordinary Assembly that sat on Sunday at Lugogo Tennis Club dissolved the executive headed by President Sam Muwonge Mahaba for failing the association.

The former general secretary Fred Maiso was appointed as interim committee chairman with others including former association chairman Burhan Ssekabenga, Hamza Adam, Ssaka Bukenya and Mathias Lukwago.

The assembly also named a constitutional review committee which included former chairman Lawrence Byaruhanga, Mathias Lukwago, Fredrick Kalyango, Sadam Hussein and Drusilla Muzila.

These committees will spearhead the activities of the association and constitution amendment for within two months period.
