Ecobank unveiled a three year sponsorship deal on Tuesday

Uganda Cranes players Hassan Wasswa and Nicholas Wadada believe that they now have more reason to put up a solid performances ahead of the African Cup of Nations tournament in Gabon in January.

The duo who were representing Cranes players at the press conference held on Tuesday at the Serena Conference Centre, made the remarks after Ecobank Uganda announced its partnership with FUFA.

Ecobank unveiled a three year sponsorship deal worth sh450m to the Uganda Cranes and according to Wasswa, the boost is likely to motivate the players.

"I am sure this support will push us miles as we prepare to make our first attempt at the African Cup of Nations," Wasswa said.

"I feel my teammates will now find the reason to put in all they can," added Wadada.

Meanwhile Ecobank managing director Clement Dodoo in his speech that, "Uganda has waited a long time to qualify and now that you have managed to reach there, we need to make sure you excel."

Besides unveiling the Cranes sponsorship, Ecobank has also given Uganda Cranes fans an opportunity to physically support their team in Gabon.ach Micho Sredojevic and FUFA's 3rd vice president Denis Mbidde.
