“I’m satisfied with the team’s performance. I really enjoy working with these players."

Uganda Cranes coach Milutin ‘Micho' Sredejovic has commended his players after a 1-0 victory over Congo-Brazzaville in a 2018 World Cup qualifier on Saturday.

Farouk Miya scored after brilliantly connecting with Luwagga Kizito and Tonny Mawejje in the 18th minute of the game.

Uganda would have scored more than just that one goal but a number of the players missed obvious chances.

After the game, Micho particularly praised substitute Michael Azira for his maturity on his Cranes debut.

"I'm satisfied with the team's performance. I really enjoy working with these players. We are not with our scoring rate but beating a team that is ahead of us in the FIFA ranking is a big result," said the Serb.

He however showed dissatisfaction with Uganda Cranes fans who did not turn up for the game in big numbers.

"I expected the fans to come in big numbers especially after qualifying for Africa Nations Cup finals.

Uganda are now Group E leaders ahead of Sunday's  other group game between Egypt and Ghana.
