Apac to drill 22 new deep wells

The wells will cater for the growing population

Apac district work and community services sector has pointed out areas of priority in order to achieve 100% water coverage in the district.

During Apac district budget conference for the 2017/18 financial year held at Scout Hall in Apac, the district engineer Nelson Okello said they plan to drill and install 22 deep wells to cater for the growing population.

Okello added that 19 deep wells will be rehabilitated and on the other hand, the district needs six valley tanks for animal usage.

He said with support from the Ministry of Water and Environment, government is constructing valley tanks in the sub counties of Chawente, Nambieso, Chegere and Akokoro.
