Plans to build cattle market in Wila

Oct 25, 2016

The idea has been hailed by local authorities.

Authorities of Wila sub-county in Amuria district have announced plans to construct a cattle market.

Geoffrey Otim, the area LC3 chairperson, says they have recovered five acres of land in Alere parish to put up the market.

Otim says currently they have started clearing the site and people are free to even start accessing plots for selling their goods.

Soon an announcement on the day the market will launched will be made across various media houses.

Otim therefore appeals to the district authorities of Amuria to support them in their venture.

Speaking to Etop Radio, Paul Edotu, the assistant Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) for Amuria commended the leadership of Wila for initiating such an idea, saying it will help to enhance revenue for both the district and the sub-county of Wila.
