UVF ejects Sport-S, VVC from volleyball league

Uganda Volleyball Federation (UVF) has thrown Sport-S and Vision Volleyball Camp (VVC) out of the National Volleyball League.

The dismissal comes after Sport-S and VVC forfeited three consecutive league matches contrary to rules.

In a communication to Ndejje University Volleyball Club, UVF sports organising commission told them not to show up for a match against Sport-S women on Sunday at MUBS, Nakawa.

"This urgent communication is to inform Ndejje University Volleyball Club (women) that their game is no longer valid. Sport-S and VVC each have accumulated three forfeitures (walkovers) and as a result both teams have been disqualified from the volleyball league of 2016 -2017" the statement read in part.

The statement added that the sports commission will draw fresh fixtures to allow the league continue next weekend.
