Bisaso relishing start to SC Villa managerial role

SC Villa interim coach Shafiq Bisaso made a winning start as his side defeated Saints 2-1 in the Azam Uganda Premier League on Tuesday at Namboole Stadium.

Bisaso replaced his former boss Deo Sserwadda who was sacked a week ago by club president Ben Misagga.

"So many people were waiting for this moment but I'm out to prove. My team is performing well but we just need to correct a few mistakes and we are good to go" Bisaso stated.

Midfielder Godfrey Lwesibawa turned in a man of the match performance after he created an assist for Alex Kitaata's goal before he scored the winner for Villa. George Senkaaba was on target for Saints.

Sserwadda became the fifth coach to be sacked from the club since 2014. Others are Ibrahim Kirya, Steven Bogere, Sam Ssimbwa and Spaniard Antonio Flores.
