Wasswa who partnered Shafik Bakaki in Vipers's 1-0 victory against BUL at Nakivubo, surprised many for his outstanding performance.

Vipers central defender Geoffrey Wasswa has described his debut against BUL as a learning process.

Wasswa who partnered Shafik Bakaki in Vipers's  1-0 victory against BUL at Nakivubo, surprised many for his outstanding performance.

"The pressure was there in the opening five minutes but I was careful not to panic and make unwanted errors. The game was tense but what mattered for us was the timing and quick decisions I had to make," Wasswa said.

"The fact that I was the youngest player on the pitch did not matter, I had the confidence and playing with experienced teammates made it easier for me".

Wasswa will now have tight competition from fellow central defenders such as Halid Lwaliwa, Musa Malunda and Shafik Bakaki if is to get first team football at  Kitende based side.
