Ling and Shu on top of MTN-Huawei Business Golf

Gloria Mbaguta capped a great golf outing winning three prizes as the Huawei MTN Business Golf day ended at the Lake Victoria Serena Resort & Golf Club on Saturday.

Despite missing the overall ladies' winners' prize by 4 points, to the overall winner; Liu Ming Shu, the Kampala golfer finished fourth overall winning herself a ten inch Huawei Media Pad. This was on top of the longest drive competition and the Chip and Putt competition that was held besides the main event.

 

She consequently grabbed herself a weekend for two at the Lake Victoria Serena Resort and Spa where she will also play a round of golf with three friends as a prize for her side bets victories.

But the day belonged to Chinese golfers Wu Wei Ling and Liu Ming Shu who emerged overall winners in the men and ladies categories respectively. Ling was also the longest drive winner.

 

Both won themselves 50 inch Hisense Smart 4K TV flat screens and Huawei b315 lte indoor CPE routers with Shu donating hers to the Serena Hotel because she is the official distributor of Hisense in the country.

The one-day competition was earlier on in the day teed off by the Minister of Works and Transport Monica Ntege in the company of Minister for Karamoja John Byabagambi, former works Minister John Nasasira, Chinese Ambassador to Uganda Zhao Yali, Huawei Managing Director Stanley Chyn and MTN CEO Wim Vanhelleputte.

 

The golfers were later in the evening hosted to a dinner as they enjoyed live music performances from Lilian Mbabazi and Irene Ntale.
