Uganda Rugby Union will next year be able to organise a better national 7s circuit tournament throughout the country.
This is after Roke Telecom chief operations manager James Byaruhanga promised his company's full support of all the circuits in Gulu, Mbarara, Jinja, Legends, Kyadondo and Makerere.
"This year we started with the final circuit at Kyadondo but next year we shall be involved in all circuits including Gulu and Mbarara," Byaruhanga stated before crowning Kobs the National 7s champions.
BetWay Kobs have now turned their focus to the Uganda Cup so as to fulfil their dream of a treble this season.
Acting coach James Ijongat disclosed this after his side was crowned National 7s champions despite losing 29-24 to bitter rivals Heathens in the final of the 7s circuit at Kyadondo Rugby Club on Saturday.
"This is done and now our focus is the Uganda Cup. We want to win all the three national trophies and I'm confident we can do it," Ijongat stated.
"It was bad losing to them but we knew that once we are in the finals then we are champions so we didn't want to overstretch our players some of whom were injured," he added.
Lawrence Ssebuliba, Philip Wokorach scored two tries and Brian Kikawa weighed in with a try for Heathens while Adrian Kasato, Keith Sseruyange scored a try each and Ramathan Govule chipped in with a brace for Kobs.
