Despite being the household heads, the men have filed cases at Kamuli Central Police station to help them by arresting the “wild” wives so that they face the law.

Two husbands in Kamuli district are nursing the wounds and injuries they sustained after being attacked by their errant wives.

Despite being the household heads, the men have filed cases at Kamuli Central Police station to help them by arresting the "wild" wives so that they face the law.

Asumani Kamala, 35, a resident of Namaganda in Bulopa Sub County was admitted in Dr. Duku's Kamuli Medical Care clinic in Kamuli Municipality on Thursday night after his wife, Joan Kasowole, 25, stabbed his forehead using a sharp knife during the domestic brawl.

Moses Kasoone, 39, the resident of Buwanume zone in Nothern Division, Kamuli Municipality also rushed to Kamuli Central Police Station, asking the Police to arrest his wife, Annet Kasoone 25, who descended on his left hand and bit it like a mad dog on Wednesday.

He had reportedly found her "red-handed" having sex with a neighbor in a rented room however, instead of asking for forgiveness she bit him mercilessly

Kasoone suffered the wrath of his wife's teeth as he was trying to apprehend the "woman snatcher" however; the wife also struggled to save him.

Charged, Kasoone  reported the to the LC1 Chairman  who denied him audience, forcing him to report the matter to Kamuli Central Police station and later  took his complaint before the District Officer in charge of the Child and Family Protection Unit, Richard Kagoda.

"We have been together for eight years and have three children, but why she has become a whore beats my understanding," Kasoone said, adding that since the incident, she has gone missing but painfully, the  "woman snatcher" is freely moving around the village, bragging.

From Namaganda village, Joan Kasowole had been arrested and detained at Bulopa Police Post and charged with taking part in public affray and causing bodily harm to her husband, Kamala.

On his sick bed, Kamala said," I want that woman to be taken to court and serve at least a jail term of six months otherwise, in the near future, she will kill me"

According to the area Publicity secretary, Rogers Dhizaala, the couple started fighting after the wife left home at 6-30pm and returned at 9.000pm without the jerry can, claiming that it had been stolen.

Failing to explain how the jerry can went missing by giving dubious answers, Kamala lost his nerves and suspected that his wife must had been on a sex spree with another man.

The serious fight that erupted sent them rolling on the ground, before the woman rushed to the main house, picked the knife and stabbed her husband's forehead, narrowly missing the eye.

The Regional Police Spokesperson for Busoga North, Michael Kasadha decried the prevailing cases of domestic violence in Kamuli, to the extent of wives becoming hostile.

"We have cases of wife battering, home neglect and child abandonment, but women injuring men is worth documenting," Kasadha said.

But Kaswoole told Police that she didn't intend to injure her sweetheart but did it in self defense.
