In any major competition it is every country's prayer to have its final qualification match at home.

That won't be the case for Uganda in what even before the fixtures was already a tough Russia 2018 World Cup qualification group.

The Cranes, grouped together with Egypt's Pharaohs and the Black Stars of Ghana, will wind up their qualifiers away against Congo's Red Devils.

A classic example of a good fixture is Uganda's final qualifier for the 2017 Nations Cup. The Cranes will play their last group game against Comoros at home.

Uganda Cranes starts off its Group E campaign with an away match against Ghana.

The West African giants host the Cranes on October 3, 2016 at a venue in Ghana that will be communicated in the due course.

While Cranes' final away group match sends shivers down many Ugandans, the opening match doesn't.

Uganda's last visit to Ghana ended in a 1-1 draw. Tonny Mawejje put Uganda ahead before Andre Ayew leveled from the spot in the second half in the opening game for the 2015 Africa Nations Cup qualifiers.

The Cranes will host Congo Brazzaville at Namboole on November 7 in a repeat of the 2013 AFCON qualifier that Uganda won 4-0. The match is most remembered for Geoffrey Massa's powerful shot piercing through the net.

The qualifiers resume the following year in August with Uganda hosting Egypt. The return leg will be five days later in Cairo.

Uganda will next host Ghana before concluding with an away date in Brazzaville.
