FUFA technical director Asuman Lubowa has called upon regional football chairpersons to propagate the FIFA grassroot football programme in their respective member districts.
Lubowa who is in the Western district of Mbarara for the third FIFA grassroot football coaching course, said there has been limited activity in the two regions of Eastern and Kampala where the event was launched recently.
"The problem we are finding is that regional administrators have not ignited the programme and therefore have not done enough in their respective districts after the regional courses," Lubwa said.
The FIFA grassroot football programme targets boys and girls aged 6-12 years through schools, community and clubs with the key concept of bringing together as many people as possible through football.
Intensive training sessions and complicated tactics are not allowed during the training. The training attracted 30 participants.
