My maid is disrespectful

We have had a maid for six years now. She came to work for us when had just got married. We have two boys and expecting our third born. She used to take care of the boys well, prepares delicious meals and keep the house tidy.

However, ever since she found out that I was pregnant, she has become disrespectful. She disregards my instructions, shouts at me and beats up our boys like they are snakes that have strayed into the house. She now prefers to watch TV to doing her chores. I have talked to her about her behaviour, but she has refused to change her ways.

My husband says we should give her time to reform, while I want to get rid of her immediately. I do not want to go against my husband, but I need peace of mind. I can no longer stay in the same house with my maid. What should I do?
