The Arua Muslim district Khadi Sheik Amin Maga has expressed concern with upset over the wave of killings of Muslims in Arua municipality.
Amin Maga made the revelation while speaking as chief mourner during the funeral of late Muzamili Doka at Arua Public cell in Arua MunicipalityTuesday.
Maga, who stood by his concern, says killing of Muslims shows the depth of imprudence and irresponsibility from the security organs and asked Arua deputy RDC Toko Swaib, who also attended the burial, to look into the safety and security of Muslims properly.
And in this regard, Amin Maga appealed to people against taking the law in their hands to kill or injure anyone they suspect or even to destroy their properties.
He says the most appropriate action is to report any suspicion or injustice to Police so as to ensure that justice is done.
Muzamili Doka died on Sunday and was buried today where hundreds of people attended his burial and traders around the area also turned out by the mourners to watch as his body was taken to the burial site.
Toko Swaib also used the opportunity of the huge gathering to sensitize people on communicable diseases and appealed to them to go for Hepatitis checkups and also to get immunized against the disease.
The mayor elect for Arua Municipality Al-haji Isa Kato says on his part appealed to people to forget politics but to concentrate on development.
