FUFA Big League: Masavu host Wandegeya

Masavu FC will play host to Wandegeya FC in Entebbe in the FUFA Big League later today (Tuesday).

The visitors have won their last two games - against Citizen High School FC and Wakiso United FC - buoying them out of the relegation zone.

In the first round, they defeated Masavu 1-0 at Kanyanya.

Currently, today's hosts are in second place with 38 points behind leaders Proline FC (47 points). After today's game, they will have one more game in hand.

Victory for the visitors will take them to 25 points while a win for Masavu will ensure they close in on Profile with 46 points.

The sides two sides come into today's game on the back of wins. Wandegeya beat Wakiso 3-2 while Masavu also won away to the same side Wakiso 2-1.

Masavu's head coach Shafik Bisaso Masavu's said: "We are prepared to get three points from the Kampala-based side."

"We are not afraid of Wandegeya FC because all our players are fit and ready to play."

Meanwhile, Wandegeya's captain Joseph Kayira urged his players to go with the same attitude as in their last two successful games.

The club's head coach, Swaibu Semwanga, says they need to avoid conceding goals if they are to win comfortably.

 "We have to treat each game as a final if we are to secure a good place. We have to fight hard for our legacy if we are not to be relegated to the lower division."
