Nile Special University Football League managers meet on Tuesday to map out a solution against running battles that require excessive security personnel presence during matches.

Matches between MUBS and KIU at Maroons stadium plus Makerere University and Kampala University at Makerere last week witnessed running battles involving fans and security personnel.

At Maroons stadium, security personnel indiscriminately battered fans after MUBS supporters attempted to attack KIU fans on Friday.

On Sunday the overzealous security officers pounced on Makerere University fans who had attacked Kampala University supporters.

MUBS fans still managed to stone the KU bus parked outside Maroons stadium on Friday while some took off with the Nile Special University
Football League banners at Makerere.

"These are sad moments in a competition meant for the students to have fun. We shall have a meeting to review the cases but we urge the
respective universities to ensure that their student clubs sensitise their fans," UFL manager Anthony Tumwesigye said after the incident at Makerere.

At Makerere University the home side took the lead in the first half and the game nearly failed to end when KIU equalised in the second half.

Security had to step in to secure referee Jude Kalemeera as Makerere fans accused him of biased officiation and later attacked him after the
match.
