Ugandan singer scoops America Award

The Ugandan gospel artiste, who is based in Denmark, flew the country's flag high when she bagged an award at the Los Angeles 'Academia Music Awards 2016

Sarah Namakula a.k.a Sarah Musayimuto last week won a music award in Los Angeles.

The Ugandan gospel artiste, who is based in Denmark, flew the country's flag high when she bagged an award at the Los Angeles 'Academia Music Awards 2016.

Her song 'Bad Gyal' won best song RnB/Soul at the Awards that were held last week.

The 'Gwensinza' singer was extremely excited as she revealed "I'm super excited to win this award which I wasn't expecting, but the God I worship gave it to me. I pray the Lord pours lots of them again," She revealed.

Musayimuto added that "Being on the nomination list made me feel like a winner inside me, but then winning it I couldn't  hide the joy and blessings God has given me."

Born On  August 6, 1991. Sarah Musayimuto sings Soul, Reggae, Dancehall, Zouk, R&B, blues, Jazz and pop. Her musical influences include Cece Winans, whitney Houston, Aretha franklin and Toni Braxton among others.
