CAF Confederation Cup

First round, first leg:

SC Villa 4 JKU 0 (Zanzibar)

UMS de Loum 1 FUS Rabat 1

Return Leg: March 18

SC Villa came out with its guns blazing to ease its quest for a CAF Confederation Cup second round slot.

The Jogoos whipped Zanzibar's Jeshi La Kujenga Uchumi (JKU) FC 4-0 in a one sided affair at Namboole Stadium.

Villa can now only expect an easy ride in their return leg in the Indian Ocean island.

Umar Kasumba, Godfrey Lwesibawa, Mike Sserumaga and Mike Ndera each had a goal in a match that Villa could have easily won with a bigger margin.

Sserumaga and Lwesibawa stood out with spectacular shows.

Sserumaga netted Villa's second goal directly from a  corner with a curling ball to the far corner of the net.

JKU got a bye in the preliminary round after a walkover against Gaborone FC of Botswana.

The Jogoos on the other hand eliminated Sudan's Khartoum Watani 2-0 on aggregate two weeks ago to advance.

If Villa triumphs at this stage, they will face either UMS de Loum from Cameroon or Fath Union Sport of Morocco at the next stage.

UMS de Loum and Fath Union Sport played  to one-all draw  in the  first leg in Cameroon.
