Teacher beats incumbent to win Workers' MP seat

Margaret Namubiru Rwabushaija has beaten incumbent Theopista Nabulya Ssentongo to win a Workers' parliamentary seat in the 10th parliament.
Rwabushaija, who is very vocal on teachers' issues, joins incumbents Charles Bakabulindi, Sam Lyomoki and Arinaitwe Rwakajara who retained their seats.
Rwabushaija is a former deputy head teacher at Kitante Secondary School and Lubiri SS. She also taught English Literature at Mengo SS.
She is currently chairperson Uganda National Teachers' Union.
Agnes Kunihira completes the list. Kunuhira works as a community liason officer at Rift Valley Railways.
